Make Lessons FUN!

As a follow up to my last post, I thought I’d share what has kept my students and I going through these last few weeks of lessons. The answer was (drum roll please) - having FUN! AND…these super Student Care Packages! Thanks to Rebekah Maxner for this wonderful idea! I really enjoyed delivering them (porch drop off to keep students and families safe, of course) and seeing the smiles on students faces when we looked through them together during our Zoom lessons.

Here is a photo of the contents of the care package.

A big hit has been the clapping hands (thank you dollar store!), which students use at the end of practice or a lesson to give themselves a round of applause for a job well done.

Next on the COVID and Music Lessons agenda is preparing for our year end Spring Recital via ZOOM. When life throws you lemons, make lemonade! We are not going to miss out on the opportunity to hear all the hard work students have been doing to keep making music at home.

Stay tuned for my next Blog on Registration for Fall in a time of uncertainty

"Anita has been an amazing inspiration for our child. Our daughter is new to piano and Anita has been patient and kept our daughter's interest high during her piano lessons. We look forward to many more years to come with Anita."

Our music class at Music for Life is something my 1 year old son and I look forward to each week. He is filled with smiles and enjoyment as we sing, dance, move, and play instruments. Anita is so personable, energetic, knowledgeable, and patient. The space is warm and welcoming."

I have been going to the mixed ages class with my daughter for 2 terms now, and we both have loved it! Anita is such a wonderful teacher and I have noticed my daughter connect with music so much more since starting. It has also helped my not so musically talented self feel more confident!"
